Yoga Training

· We call it a "Training" when we share/teach science of Raj-Yoga to the "physically healthy persons" under the age of 40 years.
· The design of training is decided and shared with you.
· This training starts with Shavasan-Meditation

(in a lying down supine posture and not conventional Padmasan or Vajrasan. This posture of lying in supine state is most comfortable to begin the journey of awareness of inner self. (ref: http://www.maharshivinod.org)
· During Shavasan-Meditation trainee becomes aware of tensions, aches and pains, blocks, body sensations like hunger, thirst, temperature, as well as various reactions to outer stimuli, thoughts, images and emotions.
· Training in Meditation is followed by abdominal breathing.
· Later on we teach exercises of "joints" which are to be done in state of Meditation to help you become aware of your flexibility, rigidity, elasticity, painful parts in body and range of various movements in every joint.
· This practice prepares you to maintain state of awareness for an hour or so. Regular practice of "joint" exercises done in meditation prepares you to learn Asanas.
· As per Maharshi Patanjali, Asana encompasses "Stability", "Comfort", "Effortlessness" and "In Communion with Infinity". Asana is not mere odd-looking physical posture. The conventional way is to do these in a hurry, in a competitive spirit, with lot of hardship and stretching oneself beyond one's capacity. Asana as per "Raj-Yoga" is an enjoyment in itself, done with eyes closed meditatively, within one's capacity, in a tension-free atmosphere.
· The sequence and the type of Asanas are taught as per the original design, which was decided with you at the outset of the training course.
· We seek feedback from you every 15 days to know your progress and the difficulties encountered during understanding and learning. The design for training is flexible. We also share philosophy of "Raj-Yoga", if you are interested in knowing about it.
· After mastering the art and science of Asana, you are in a right frame of body and mind to learn basic-simple Pranayamic breathing.
· In a "Basic Course of introduction to Raj-Yoga" we do not teach Pranayam with long pauses after inhalation (Poorak Kumbhak) or after exhalation (Rechak Kumbhak).
· Advanced Pranayams are to be learnt by an ardent follower of Patanjal Raj-Yoga.
· We teach Pranav - Omkar Chanting and a non-religious prayer at the end.
· You can complete the Basic Course in 60 effective days.
· We review the level of satisfaction of the process of teaching learning with you and our trained teachers at the end of the course.
· We provide advanced training in Raj-Yoga if you wish to go for it.
